Ingredients
  1. One lb. premium fresh ahi- big eye/yellow fin tuna
  2. 3-4 tsp. soy sauce
  3. 1-2 tsp. sesame oil
  4. 1/4 tsp. honey
  5. 1 tsp. rice vinegar
  6. 1 tsp. chili sauce
  7. 1-2 tsp. minced garlic
  8. 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  9. 1 tsp. finely diced serrano
  10. 1⁄2 - 1 tsp. medium/large grain sea salt
  11. 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onions or sweet onions
  12. 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
  13. 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
Instructions
  1. Slice the ahi into 1/2 inch cubes
  2. combine with marinade (all ingredients below fish to and above onions)
  3. refrigerate
  4. set aside covered 1- 6 hours
  5. Combine in separate bowl, refrigerate: onions and cilantro
  6. Toss seasoned ahi with the onions & cilantro just prior to serving poke
  7. *optional, squeeze a wedge of fresh lemon on top
Notes
  1. This recipe comes straight from Lummi Island Wild. Here is their note to us "Because this is Hawaiian in origin the original fish is Ahi. But substituting the Ahi with our Sushi Grade Albacore will work perfect. Very very tasty."
